EWP Silvercard courses are designed to deliver essential safety and compliance information that promotes the safe use of EWP’s and ensures compliance.

The Health & Safety at Work Act (HSWA) states that one aspect of ensuring that employees can carry out work safely is making sure that employees have adequate knowledge, experience and training. These course ensures your company is legislatively compliant, and your staff will have been made aware of the relevant Best Practices and guidelines related to EWP machinery operations.
EWP Silvercard Courses are available throughout New Zealand and offer the following courses for EWP and Working at Heights:
- Scissor Lift – US 23960
- Truck Mounted Boom – US 23961
- Self Propelled Boom Lift – US23962
- Trailer Mounted Boom – US 23963
- Vertical Lift – US 23964
- EWP Theory – US 23966
- Use a Safety Harness when working at Heights – US 23229
Our courses are designed to deliver essential safety and compliance information. Attendees will gain theoretical knowledge and practical skills in:
- Health and Safety Legislative Requirements
- Types of Elevated Work Platforms (EWP’s)
- EWP Compliance Requirements
- Hazard identification, risk assessment and controls
- Fall arrest harness inspection, fitting and use
- Conduct pre and post operational checks
- Safe Operation of EWP
- Emergency procedures, Rescue Plans
- Theory & Practical assessments, observation and demonstration.
Upon successful completion of the course your assessor will report the achieved Unit Standards to Te Pukenga who will register these on your NZQA Record of Achievement. You will then receive an email with instructions on how to download the Silvercard App. Add your license details to the App and use this as proof of training and competency.
