Skill standard 40736, Operate a forklift with attachments builds on core forklift safety principles helping operators understand how attachments impact load stability, rated capacity, load safety and safe handling. Practical experience is gained on one type of attachment during training. While Silvercard gives operators a strong foundation, on site or in-house familiarisation with your company’s specific attachment is still required.
Prerequisite: Learners must hold either Unit Standard 10851 or Skill Standard 40735.
